"Summer Dream" A recurring dream; I'm standing in a park among the trunks of some tall trees. There is a black dog by my side. He's not clearly defined but appears more as a smudged silhouette of a dog. This is because he's not one dog but the collective spirit of all the dogs I've had in my life. He's companion, guardian, guide, and friend. When finishing up this painting I decided to add a small dog in the foreground. While not a rendering of my dream's dog he's there to remind us of the spirit of all the dogs we share our lives with, now or then, our companions, guardians, and friends.
